Bubbles & Splash

I was looking at my new fish through its tank. My wish had finally come true! I had my own pet!

I named it Bubbles. It was the best gift! I stared at it morning till night. I fed it and took care of it. My life had somehow changed and made it so much happier. Every day as soon as I got home from school I rushed to see Bubbles. I somehow thought he liked me. The way he looked at me was so cute! But that was just the start of a happy life.

One day mum and dad were chatting with me when they said I could get a new fish! I was delighted. That very day we went to the pet shop and bought a new fish! It was dazzling golden. I named it Splash. At last Bubbles was going to have a new friend!

We lived a happy life until one day I woke up to find the fish tank all cloudy. I was shocked. Me and mum looked on the internet and it turned out that we had to put a medicine in the water. We put in a few drops of the medicine in the water and in a few days the tank was clear again!

Phew!

I was so glad my fish were ok. Things went normally for a month or so. I was enjoying spending time with my fish.

It was a school day. Mum woke me up urgently. It seemed something was dreadfully wrong with Bubbles. I immediately ran down the stairs and urged to the tank. It was an awful sight. There was Bubbles swimming on his side looking very weak. I felt so sorry for the poor thing. A few days passed by and Bubbles managed to survive. In the weekends I went for a sleepover and when I came back……
BUBBLES WAS DEAD!
It was a total shock for me. I was crying for hours. The poor thing.

I will always remember him.

Every time I think of him from my face drops a tear
I  will  keep this as a memory I  hold so dear
Even though  we are apart
I will always find you there in my heart
